Remembering an old SMS:
How to make GOD laugh?
Tell him your future plans...
That was precisely what happened to me, after my last blog entry, 9 months back.
And here I am now, working as a web-developer, in PHP only, at JST Soft Solutions, Mohali.
(Don't tell me that this is my 3'rd company in last 11 months, I KNOW THIS)
I do not know how this decision of mine is going to affect my future at JST Soft Solutions, where I got my salary cheque delayed cos the client has not paid us yet, I felt a jerk when I heard about this, and been thinking seriously about this.
Was it the right thing to do by my senior(s), or was it wrong on MY part to accept this deal(I could have denied the delay and would've got the cheque on time, on cost of company-loyality). The company that I have joined is actually a venture, with a personal investment of faith and efforts.
More faith than efforts.
So, let anything happen, It will end up being good, cos that's the way the circle works - till you are not happy, you can't die, if you die early, god wanted that to happen(for those who believe in god), or you had your share of joys buddy(for atheists).
For me, neither I am dead, nor I am sad, lets see how things turn up in 2010, as I am having some pretty good expectations from myself in the coming year.
One of them being - Earn 50k in first month of the year( You don't have to tell me that's impossible, I KNOW IT). But if it were possible, why would I keep it a target?
Of friends....
Missed them a lot.
After Mig's visit this year, and when we(Me, Mig, Guri) went to Vaishno Devi, it was loads of fun; bidding Mig adieu on Delhi airport was another memorable moment.
Met Neha recently, she is here from US on her first trip to home after marriage, those were 2 really good hours. Planning to have a small get together at Delhi airport, last week of this month, may be 4-5 of the group get lucky to share memories after long time...
My Life...
is a mess, and I am cleaning it up, cos nobody else can do this cleanup.
When you stop keeping things in order, in your room, it looks like hell a week later.
You cannot compare that to LIFE; I have thrown my life in total dismay in last 7 years, and now hell seems a much cleaner version, and now its only ME that could clean it up, and I am doing it.
There is a saying in Punjabi:
"Hathaan naal dittiyan, dandaan naal kholniyan paindiyan ne", meaning:
The knots tightened by hands, need your teeth to loosen them up.
Messing up life is easy, tidying it needs a lot of courage and strength, and I am not going to give up (details later, may be in some other blog post).
Enough for now,
let me continue working on the xml-ajax-jQuery-PHP based event-management and gallery-management system.
The client is getting on my nerves now....

Company Change.
I don't know if it was right for me to change the company before completing even a month, but I changed it.
New company - smartData.
I quit my old company cos my PM was the worst PERSON I have ever met, his PM-cum-leadership qualities being even worse.
I am not the kind of person who says foul about people, but this guy made me write about him.
I did not include the EXPERIENCE from that company in my resume.
But I met some very good people over there (2 of them already left the company, and another is leaving on 25-26 of this month - he's joining smartData soon, all due to same reason).
Anyway, about my new company - 300+ workforce, 100% gain in profit and employee strength in 4 consecutive years.
Its been 2 weeks since I joined, and these 2 weeks have been the best 2 weeks of my career since last 2 years. I have decided to stick to this for next few years, atleast.
dukeindia.com is done, I have told them to test it, but I guess they haven't.
They have issued the cheques, mailed them to my home address - but have not been recieved yet. :(
I don't think i'll be doing any free-lancing in near future. One, company policy, second, I don't want any extra load for me.
I am working as a SE in Night shift, and I sleep for atleast full 6 hours a day, never slept that long since last 7 years.
Will be getting Reliance Wireless Broadband -3.1 Mbps- within a week or so, and will write the basic JS tut I have been thinking of.
MISSED SOMETHING!!!!!!!
Went to Sector 16 Hospital with Gurri at 3 AM, to have bread-omelette, and then to Night-Street to have paranthas, and more bread omelette and MOMOS...
Felt like the 2 months training time we spent at chandigarh...
Missed Mig and Bal most... and others too.... :D

Hello Chandigarh...
A lot happened after my last blog post, this time it was really a LOT...
January 2'nd week - 12'th Jan to be precise, and I left Kayako office at around 0515 in the morning, I was pretty sure that I won't be coming back, and I didn't.
Later that week had some real fun flying kites.. :)
Started working on dukeindia, but soon the MD of the company had a conversation with me and chetan, my cousin, and the other personnel involved in the site-development and that time I came to know that I was not the only one delaying the project :-/
From that time onwards, I have kept those guys in all the conversations, and I turn out to be the fastest.... and now the payment is due :( - they stretch time like a super-flexible-rubber.
Anyway, atleast the work is finished, payment will arrive anytime, and I am in no hurry.
Had a fun-trip to GOA.
AWESOME - now I know what this small word means :D
3 interviews in chd, got call from all of them - someone said recession???
Joined Zimbra Technologies, Phase 7, Mohalli, as PHP Developer on 19'th Feb, got a room in 3B2, will be shifting on 1'st March.
In the mean time, Deepak - one of my best buddies, got married (LOVE MARRIAGE)...
Lovely couple.
Now I am in a new company, its good here - I get some work to do here, working on payment gateway integration with Joomla, and will be working soon on smarty templates.
Hope it goes well..

Certainly NOT a family movie, due to excessive abusive language, but must be seen by whole family - going together may not be a good idea.
Rare music, awesome cinematography, fantabulous acting by all the actors, and loads of drugs, with a very positive ending message.
Will be writing a small JavaScript tutorial soon....

Projects currently being mis-handled:
Oh, and BTW the project hotjalandhar.com has been handled by me very carelessly, and in a foolishly ridiculous way, and the site is down since last 2 and a half months after it was hacked, and due to lack of time to revive the code, it was removed from the server with the note saying that it will be back with new features very soon but I never did it.
Will be working on dukeindia.com for this weekend after being totally DUMB on it for last 2 months. Caused a hell lot of tension and problems for my cousin Chetan who originally got the contract on my belief, and I screwed it all - extreme level of procrastination and foolishness.
(Don't worry bro, I will finish it all this weekend)
AND I need to concentrate on my office code also.
I have been too lazy to study and modify code for some very simple apps (which I am supposed to be working on right now).
So I will take the day off to create SitePanel3 ImpEx script for Kayako SupportSuite.
(I work in the development team of Kayako)
I will be adding my artwork also, so if you are one of those so-free-guys-to-check-my-blog then keep checking for some decent wallpapers

Was not much busy, but was stuck in events, relations, new job and some minor causes, all backed by my most biggest enemy - procrastination, so couldn't add much here.
With the advent of the Year 2009, I need to add some FEATURES and remove some BUGS from my behavior and attitude.
And the best thing I have understood in all those procrastinating times is that if "I need to achieve something, it better by penned." (Unless I have a very strong determination, which, as a matter of fact, I don't have), so here I am - writing down all the things I can think of that need to be written.

I've been kinda extremely busy on my latest project www.hotjalandhar.comJalandhar is my hometown, and my team is making its local portal.We were contacted by some big shot, and he proposed us a unity for the list of 70 domains he owned.He told us to make local portals of 70 cities across India, all on same theme.
So i'm right now coding day and night for the base platform, after which we'll have to change just the SPELLINGS to make the portal ready-to-launch in any city.
The services being currently provided are:
Community (Not like ORKUT, but its few %)
Job Search (at local level)
Matrimonial (We all love it)
Local News Update
Local Weather
Home Delivery
Property Transactions
Educational Institutes Information
Craig list (Again LOCAL)
and
Yellow Pages...
(PHEW)
Its building up slowly, but coming up really cool...
Hope we launch the first portal very soon.
Beta testing of few features is being done at
